Doing for others

It looks like I haven't really done much for others - it looks like I had people sucking up to me but I am not helping other people.  My parents had told me to think about all the things that people to for me that I take for granted.

My parents are making sure I have a decent education.

My parents are supplying the money for the housing in the college.

My parents are supplying the money for food.

My parents had gave me a computer.

My parents bought the textbooks.

My parents make sure my clothes are clean.

My parents make sure my car has gas in it.

They listen to me for my problems.

But it seems like my parents have done everything for me, but what do my parents get.  My parents work their butts off to help me and they did help me get through, but I haven't had much independence.

I give them a very good lawn.  My dad even gases the lawn mower and get the lawn started for me.

I share some interesting information that I come home from college.

I need to do things more often - it looks like I am a person that wants to have everything given but don't have to do anything.  I need to do something and I should think of some things to give my parents less work.

I think I can start by cleaning my room and cleaning my dishes.  I can start but putting dishes in the dishwasher and laundry in the washer.  I should try to help them with the garbage and the recycling.  I should help by setting the table.   I need to help them by keeping everything picked up and neat and orderly.  They have gave me many benefits but I haven't gave benefits to them.  I should give them the clean house, clean dishes, anything to save work - I need to do my part.  It is a part of being nice.

Opening doors and pushing in chairs are nice things, along with appreciating a person's presence by saying "hi".  I need to help people with their homework and carrying their books. There are lots of things I need to do.  Self presentation is very important - I need to brush my teeth, comb my hair, and dress nice and appropriately - I should look very similar to other teenagers and young adults, along with expressing myself. There are lots of things I need to do.  I will be happier when I do things - not miserable and God will like me, along with other people.
